1. About Dark Horse Tackle
Dark Horse Tackle is a partnership based in Pennsylvania. We operate an online retail store at darkhorsetackle.com selling fishing tackle, lures, subscription boxes, and related products sourced from American small businesses.
References to "Dark Horse Tackle," "we," "us," or "our" throughout these terms refer to the Dark Horse Tackle partnership and its owners.
2. Acceptance of Terms

3. Products & Availability
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, photos, pricing, and availability information on our website are accurate. However, we reserve the right to correct errors, update information, or discontinue products at any time without prior notice.
Many products in our catalog are handcrafted by small American makers in limited quantities. As a result, certain items may sell out quickly or become unavailable without advance warning. We do not guarantee the availability of any product.
For handcrafted and hand-painted products, minor variations in color, finish, or appearance from the product photos are inherent to the handmade nature of the product and are not considered defects.
4. Pricing
All prices are listed in US dollars. Dark Horse Tackle reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice. The price charged for an order will be the price displayed at the time the order is placed.
In the event of a pricing error on our website, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed at the incorrect price and will notify affected customers promptly.
5. Orders & Payment
By placing an order you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete, including your shipping address and payment information. Dark Horse Tackle is not responsible for orders that cannot be delivered due to inaccurate information provided at checkout.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including orders that appear fraudulent, orders placed with inaccurate information, or orders that cannot be fulfilled due to inventory limitations.
Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments. We accept all major credit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and other payment methods displayed at checkout. Full payment is required at the time of purchase.
6. Subscriptions
Dark Horse Tackle offers recurring subscription products including The Box and The Pack. Subscription billing and management is powered by Appstle, a third-party subscription app. By purchasing a subscription you authorize Dark Horse Tackle to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the price and frequency displayed at the time of signup.
Certain subscription functions — including billing, payment retries, and subscription management — are handled through the Appstle platform. While we make every effort to ensure a smooth subscription experience, Dark Horse Tackle is not liable for technical issues, billing errors, or service interruptions caused by the Appstle platform. If you experience any issues with your subscription, contact us at support@darkhorsetackle.com and we will work to resolve it promptly.
Subscription Options:
All subscription products are available in the following options:
- Pay As You Go (Monthly) — billed monthly, renews automatically every month
- Prepaid 3-Month — billed every 3 months, renews automatically every 3 months
- Prepaid 6-Month — billed every 6 months, renews automatically every 6 months
- Prepaid 12-Month — billed every 12 months, renews automatically every 12 months
Auto-Renewal:
All subscription options — including prepaid subscriptions — renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current subscription price. By purchasing any subscription you explicitly authorize these recurring charges. Your subscription will continue to renew until you cancel.
You will receive your subscription details including renewal terms and pricing at the time of purchase. Renewal terms are also stated in the product description for each subscription product. It is your responsibility to review these terms before purchasing.
Dark Horse Tackle is not responsible for charges resulting from a failure to cancel a subscription before the renewal date.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following renewal period. Cancellations do not apply retroactively to subscription periods that have already been charged or to boxes that have already shipped. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for full details.
Changes to subscription pricing: We will provide advance notice of any changes to subscription pricing before they take effect on your account.
Failed Payments: It is your responsibility to ensure your payment method remains valid and up to date. Failed payments may result in your subscription being paused or cancelled. Dark Horse Tackle is not responsible for missed shipments resulting from failed payments.
7. Promotions & Discount Codes
Dark Horse Tackle periodically offers promotions, automatic discounts, and discount codes. The following terms apply to all promotions:
- Promotions are valid only for the period and conditions stated
- Discount codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively to completed orders
- Only one discount code may be applied per order unless otherwise stated
- Promotions and discount codes cannot be combined unless explicitly noted
- Dark Horse Tackle reserves the right to modify or cancel any promotion at any time without prior notice
- Promotions do not apply to subscription products or Beyond the Baits products unless explicitly stated
8. Promotional Staff
Dark Horse Tackle works with a select group of individuals on our promotional staff who represent the brand. Promotional staff arrangements are handled on a case by case basis and may include product discounts or subscription benefits.
Dark Horse Tackle does not operate a formal public affiliate or referral program. Unsolicited requests for affiliate arrangements or commission-based partnerships will not be honored.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Dark Horse Tackle website — including but not limited to text, images, logos, graphics, video content, and product descriptions — is the property of Dark Horse Tackle or its respective suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our express written permission. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted provided you do not remove any copyright or proprietary notices.
The Dark Horse Tackle name, logo, and brand identity are the exclusive property of Dark Horse Tackle. Unauthorized use of our brand identity is strictly prohibited.

For returns and issues with third-party fulfilled products, please contact us directly at support@darkhorsetackle.com and we will coordinate with the supplier on your behalf.
12. Limitation of Liability
